Princess Anne visits Woolsery
PRINCESS Anne was greeted by flag-waving schoolchildren when she stepped out of her helicopter on a visit to Woolsery today. She was presented with a posy by Alice Harding, 11, chairman of Woolsery School Council and youngest pupil Lily Shere, aged four.

Accompanied by Eric Dancer, the Lord Lieutenant of Devon, the Princess went into the impressive sports and community hall to address the annual conference of the Community Council of Devon.
She told the 100 delagtes that parish council involvement was essential to the success of affordable housing schemes in rural areas.

The Princess went on to present rural housing awards to Pam Johns representing High Bickington and Irene Matthews from Holsworthy before going outside to inspect a 12-home affordable housing scheme being developed in an adjoining field.
