The harbour porpoise was photographed by Jane Monger on Sunday evening.

She said it appeared to have part of its throat missing, as if it had been attacked by something.

Jane said they reported the sighting to the Government website, as people are asked to do.

If you see a stranded whale or dolphin, you can report it via www.gov.uk. If the animal is still alive, call the hotline immediately on 0800 652 0333.
