Allotment users urged to remain vigilant as locks are cut on sheds and items stolen at Handy Cross Allotments.
Police are warning of a spate of breaks ins at sheds in Handy Cross Allotments in Bideford.
Sometime between 4.20pm and 4.40pm on Monday someone cut off the lock to the main allotment gate in Buckland Road.
Locks have also been cut on sheds and police said it is unknown at this time the amount of items taken.
A spokesman said: “We ask residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in your local area.
“Please pass this message on to anyone who has an allotment to check their sheds/property.”
