PEOPLE living in the Churchill Crescent area of South Molton have been responding to a police initiative designed to give them a say about problems in their neighbourhood.Police hand delivered Police and Communities Together (PACT) postcards to 240 homes at the beginning of April.Although only seven were returned to the police station, PC Graham James and PCSO Paul Whitehouse will be stepping up patrols in the area."Of the cards returned, issues ranged from youths congregating and causing anti-social behaviour, to dog fouling," said PC James. We are grateful to those residents who decided to write and advise us of problems. "The issues raised have been noted by the town officers."It was also pleasing to see that one of the postcards stated that there are no real problems in the area and that it was nice to see police officers walking the streets," added PC James.
