An operation in the village on Thursday saw five stopped and searched
Cannabis was seized from two people in Braunton after a drugs operation yesterday (Thursday).
Police visited public parks and other areas of the village in an intelligence-led operation that saw five people stopped and searched.
Sergeant Andy Peel said the two who were found with cannabis were being dealt with appropriately.
“The local team will continue working positively with the local schools and our partners in tackling these issues and thank those that raised this matter for our attention,” he said.
“As always, we rely on people letting us know what is a problem for them and encourage the community to continue working with us to reduce crime and safeguard our village.”
Police said the offenders were a male and female, but it was not possible to release their ages.
