Police find cannabis grow room in Bideford home

Plants with street value of up to £8k discovered during raid.

POLICE discovered cannabis plants with a street value of between £6,000 and £8,000 after swooping on a house in Bideford yesterday (Sunday).

Officers arrested a 25-year-old man after uncovering the ‘grow room’ in the home in Clovelly Road.

The raid was carried out by the Bideford neighbourhood beat team along with the Proactive Delivery Team based in Barnstaple

Sergeant Paul Strutt of the Proactive Delivery Team said: “This forms a part of the continued drive to eradicate the use of controlled drugs in the North Devon area.”
