Police have evacuated part of Bideford after a suspicious device was discovered with donations left at a charity shop in the town. A 50-metre cordon has been put in place around the Childrens Hospice South West charity shop in Mill Street. Police were called at around 2.20pm by concerned staff at the shop. Officers currently at the scene have been joined by members of the Explosives Ordinance Disposal team. A police spokesperson said: Shops and neighbouring buildings have been evacuated as a precaution. Check back for more information as we have it.
