Ilfracombe police are not looking for anyone in connection to incident in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Police were called to Wilder Road in Ilfracombe yesterday (Sunday) morning after reports of a man shouting for help.

Officers found a man 'covered in blood' and closed the road while he was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.

A spokesman for Ilfracombe Police said the man was 'not assaulted' and the incident was 'not in any way connected to crime'.

The man was returned home following treatment in hopsital and police are not looking for anyone in connection to the incident.
