POLICE in Barnstaple are appealing for anyone with information about an assault outside the Royal & Fortescue Hotel in Boutport Street to contact them.

The incident happened between 1.10am to 1.30am on January 31 when an 18-year-old local man suffered a broken nose during an assault by two men.

There is no description of the two suspects.
