Officers are keen to identify witness after a group of four teeangers allegedly damaged a fence in Barnstaple before becoming abusive to motorists.

Police are appealing to find a cyclist who may have witnessed a group of teenagers allegdly damaging a fence in Barnstaple.

On Friday, March 18, a group of four boys, believed to be around 14-years-old, were thought to have been involved in an incident of criminal damage.

A garden fence was damaged in the incident in Manor Park in Sticklepath.

They were apprehended by a member of the public who gave chase.

The group then caused vehicles to stop in Shorelands Road and became abusive to motorists who stopped to avoid them at around 5.30pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the group, in particular a cyclist who stopped and spoke to another witness in Shorelands Road.
