Police appeal for witnesses to robbery

Anyone with any information is asked to come forward after a man was robbed of his wallet on Friday.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that happened in Combe Martin on Friday afternoon.

A local man was walking along Newberry Road near to the parade car park at around 4.30pm when he was approached by the subject who tried to steal a fishing trolley he was pulling.

The victim managed to push the offender away, but the man returned and stole a wallet before running off.

The man, who is described as being white, approximately 6ft tall and aged between late twenties and early thirties, fled in the direction of the John Fowler Holiday Park.

He was thought to be unshaven with short, dark hair and a northern accent, and was wearing a black tracksuit top, with a white t-shirt underneath, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
