Officers need help to identify man and two women after alleged public order offence in Maiden Street and The Strand.

Police are appealing after an ‘unprovoked’ verbal attack in Barnstaple.

A member of the public was in Maiden Street when a man, who was with two women, started ‘verbally abusing’ them.

The incident occurred on Maiden Street and The Strand on Monday between 6.40pm and 7.05pm.

The man is described as in his 20s, mixed race appearance, with curly brown hair in an afro style. He was in company with two women both believed to be in their 20s.

Officers would like to identify the man and two women who were part of the incident and would also like to speak to any witnesses.
