Police in Barnstaple are appealing for witnesses to an alleged hit and run that left a teenager with a broken foot. The 16-year-old pedestrian was left with four broken bones as a result of the incident by the Esso garage in Belle Meadow Road at 8.45am on Tuesday. The car is described as silver and medium-sized but the boy was unable to see the make or licence plate. The driver is said to have stopped momentarily before driving off. Anyone who saw the incident or can help identify the car is asked to call police on 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting log number 0631 of November 29, 2016.
