Police are appealing for witnessed following a serious collision, which left one driver with life-threatening injuries, on Saturday.

Emergency services were called at 4.27am to St Brannocks Road in Ilfracombe following reports of a collision involving a Seat Ibiza and a Citroen C2.

An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man who were travelling in the Seat, were taken to North Devon District Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A 20-year-old male driver of the Citroen sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital to receive treatment.

A 40-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Citroen also sustained possible life-threatening injuries and was taken to North Devon District Hospital for treatment.

Road closures were put in place whilst emergency services worked at the scene.

The Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or have any information, to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting log 195 of July 28.
