Police appeal after Bideford burglary

The front door to the property was kicked in and 100 cash was stolen, say Police.

POLICE in Bideford are appealing for information following a burglary in the town on Friday.

Cash totalling approximately 100 was stolen from the house in Park Lane while the occupant was out.

Police said the front door of the home was kicked in which must have caused some disturbance, and an untidy search took place.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Friday between 9.30am and 3pm and saw or heard anything suspicious.

A police spokesman said: “We would stress that dwelling burglaries using this method of entry are rare but people should ensure that they have appropriate house security.”

Any witnesses or anyone who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CD/12/1845.
