Plans are going on show tomorrow (Saturday) for new holiday units at Knapp House in Northam.

New plans are on show tomorrow (Saturday) for land next to Knapp House in Northam.

The consultation event from 10am-midday at Knapp House will show off plans for a development of 'holiday units' on the land.

It is understood the plans are for up to 60 new units.

In 2015, contentious plans to build a 'marina village' at Knapp House were rejected by the planning inspectorate.

The proposals, which included 300 homes, a care home, shops and café, had received strong opposition and were refused by the council in 2013.

The developers resubmitted the plans, which were rejected in again in 2014, before finally being dismissed after a long appeal.

The Knapp House plans are one of a number of development proposals for the area.

Just down the road next to Appledore shipyard, Northam residents are opposing new plans for up to 199 new houses off Wooda Road.
