TORRIDGE planners meet on Thursday to decide an application to open a permanent gipsy and traveller site at the former Derriton Quarry, near Holsworthy.
The meeting is being held at Pyworthy Village Hall and protesters are expected to attend.
Planning officers are recommending approval for the scheme, submitted by Tarka Housing Ltd.
Proposed restrictions include limiting the number of caravans and mobile homes on the site to 14 and prohibiting trade or business from taking place.

The officers are also proposing that the open storage of goods, materials, plant or equipment in connection with any trade or business be banned.
One goods vehicle not exceeding 3.5 tonnes would be allowed per plot..

Pyworthy Parish Council has already submitted objections to the plan.
