Pizza-mania grips Forches school

PORTABLE pepperoni, mobile mozzarella and sprightly spicy chicken was on offer at Forches Cross Primary School in Barnstaple on Friday as pupils and staff dressed up as pizzas for the day!

The entire school dressed as pizzas and had pizza for school dinner, working alongside Barnstaple Pizza Express to raise money for the Fairbridge charity.

Each child donated 50p and as well as donning colourful pizza attire they designed their own pizzas to go on display at the restaurant.

The unusual idea was suggested by the children following a visit by the Year 5 and 6 class to Pizza Express as part of their literacy topic.

Fairbridge works with young people aged 13-25 that other organisations find difficult to engage, giving them the motivation, self-confidence and skills to change their lives.
