The Pannier Pantry at The Custom House in Bideford has opened revealing a brand new café, as well as a cinema room upstairs.
A vacant pub in Bideford has been transformed into a new café and cinema for the town.
The Pannier Pantry has opened in The Custom House on the corner of Bridgeland Street, after giving the Grade II listed building a makeover.
It is now a café, with extra seating upstairs, and has a cinema room which is being used by the Bideford Cinema.
Owner Carol Wawrychuk said: “I started The Pannier Pantry about 10 years ago in Bideford Pannier Market.
“But we just outgrew it really, and then this place came up and it was a perfect opportunity.”
The café has been open for four weeks, though Carol said she hopes for an official launch once they have settled in.
She added: “Our customers have been very supportive; we didn’t realise how busy it was at this end of town.”
As well as the café and delicatessen, The Pannier Pantry at The Custom House provides catering.
