The Businesses of Bideford put on a spooktacular event with ghosts and ghouls galore in Bideford Pannier Market.

Creepy crawlies and ghastly ghosts took over Bideford Pannier Market for the Ugly Bug Ball on Saturday.

The Halloween event was put on by the Businesses of Bideford, and began with a lantern parade from Jubilee Sqaure.

Costume characters then gathered to party in the pannier market, and put mayor Phil Pester in the stocks.

The event was the finale of BOB's Wicked Week, which saw spooky activities throughout the town.

Christine Room, of BOB, said: "We would like to thank all the businesses in Bideford who dressed their windows for Wicked Week (there was nearly 100).

"They were all amazing and we can't believe the effort you all went to, to join in.

"Thank you to everyone who attended the workshops throughout Wicked Week, we have met many lovely adults and kids and we are so pleased you enjoyed yourselves."
