North Devon District Hospital held its own Christmas Jumper Day on Friday – and raised thousands for NHS good causes

Hundreds of staff at North Devon District Hospital raised thousands for charity during their Christmas Jumper Day on Friday.

Pullovers adorned with reindeers, snowmen and santas plus plenty of antlers and tinsel helped to raise money for hospital departments plus the Over and Above Special Care Baby Unit appeal.

Fundraiser Julie Whitton said: "It was fantastic to see more than 300 staff from our chief executive Alison Diamond, our doctors, nurses, porters, cleaners and secretaries across the hospital taking part in our Christmas spirit to support our hospital charity.

"It was a great, fun, festive day - money is still coming in but we expect to raise several thousand for our Special Care Baby Unit Appeal and would like to thank everyone across the community for supporting us on the day."
