Pupils and staff at Ilfracombe Junior School are among those limbering up for a day dedicated to Sport Relief.
They have dressed up as their favourite sports stars or donned something sporty for the day to support the annual appeal that raises money for those in need at home and abroad.
Throughout the day teachers will be halting lessons for two minute ‘power bursts’ of exercise.
This afternoon the whole school will be joining in with the Sport Relief Mile, running or walking a mile for charity.
A second mile is also planned for anything with wheels – pupils and staff will be completing their circuits on everything from scooters and skateboards to roller skates.
“It’s important to get children active and a good opportunity to raise a bit of money,” said teacher Jonathan Hall.
“It’s just nice for them to be part of something bigger than the school, bigger than Ilfracombe.
The school has raised £2,117 so far, with more money coming in.
