There was plenty of action at the town’s annual Heritage Day in Bideford this Saturday - see all the photos here.

Bideford’s annual Heritage Day celebrations took place this weekend.

On Saturday the town went back in time to re-live moments of Bideford’s history.

Events during the free family day, organised by Bideford 500, included medieval combat, archery, falconry and live history demonstrations.

There were family workshops where everyone could get stuck in, and a march through the town with the mayor.

Bideford 500 has also installed 20 new plaques around the town to mark its heritage trails.
