The first 100 people in the queue at the grand opening at Atlantic Park, Bideford next week could win a whole stash of prizes.

Bideford's brand new Aldi store is opening next week - and the first 100 people through the door could win some great prizes.

The doors of the new store in Clovelly Road will open at 8am on Thursday (July 28) with a special golden ticket event.

Aldi will be handing out golden envelopes to the 100 people in the queue, each containing a prize.

These will range from a 40 inch full HD Smart TV, and hampers worth £100 and £50 to coffee machines, sat navs, portable DVD players and microwaves.

The new store will create 28 new jobs, has 101 car parking spaces and spans across 1,140 sq m.

Aldi store manager, Ryan Lewis, will be cutting the red ribbon to officially open the store.

He said: "We are very excited to be opening our first store in North Devon, and the team and I are looking forward to meeting lots of customers on the day.

"We will be celebrating Aldi's expansion in the area with a special golden ticket event, and we hope everyone enjoys their prizes."

The Aldi store will be open Monday-Saturday from 8am-10pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

Work on the Brewers Fayre restaurant and Premier Inn is also coming on fast - with both set to open early next year.
