The North Devon Show is back at Umberleigh showground on Wednesday – and it promises to be an action-packed day.

With so much to see and do – from agricultural shows to fresh food and drink – we’ve picked out 10 of the best reasons to visit the show on Wednesday, August 5.

Meet Adam Henson

He’s the farmer best known for having his own section on BBC Countryfile presenting to millions of viewers, and this year Adam Henson will be the show’s special guest.

Rockwood dog displays

Watch in awe as the Rockwood Dog Display Team show off their skills, jumping through hoops of fire, racing against the clock and performing agility to music.

Vintage tractors and cars

On display at the show will be dozens of tractors, cars and bikes, restored and polished to their former glory. Wander around and take in these amazing vehicles.

Celebrity chefs

The North Devon Show is known for its food, and in the food hall this year will be Mark Dodson, who owns the Masons Arms in Knowstone. The pub’s restaurant has won many awards so be sure to stop by.

Floral displays

The horticultural show will bring together some of North Devon’s finest flowers and vegetables, perfect for some inspiration for the garden!

Crafts and gifts

Start your Christmas shopping (very) early by visiting the crafts and gifts marquee. More than 50 stalls will showcase the handicrafts of local artists.

Falconry displays

Watch these fantastic hunters swoop from the skies in the arena as North Devon Falconry show off their skills.

Young Farmers Club Games

The Young Farmers always have a laugh at the show – the tug of war is not to be missed if you fancy cheering them on.

Marvel at some of North Devon’s finest livestock as you meet North Devon’s prizewinning cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, dogs, poultry and horses.
