SIX lucky babies born at North Devon District Hospital on Monday will share a royal birthday with the future King of England.

Toni Cuthburtson, from Fremington, gave birth to her first child Ryder Darren Cuthburtson at 2.28pm, weighing 6lbs 3oz.
“My grandmother called me that morning to tell me Kate had gone into labour,” said Toni.
Her husband Jody added: “At the time, all you can think about is your own baby though; we got there first!”
Samantha Stewart, who gave birth to 5lbs 7oz Blue Alfi Crosby-Stewart at 2.10am, was the first on the ward to share the special day with the royals.
“I didn’t even know until about 2pm that Kate had gone into labour,” she said.
Blue, whose father is David Crosby, was born just over a month before Samantha’s due date of August 23.
Shirley and Luke Parkhouse also welcomed Lucas Barton-Parkhouse into the world on Monday morning.
Born at 7.14am and weighing in at 7lbs 3oz, Lucas is a brother to eight-year-old Sinead and five-year-old Blake.
“Lucas was actually born on his due date which was quite amazing,” said Shirley.
Helen Daly, manager for the Bassett Ward at the hospital, confirmed two other babies – a girl and a boy – had been born at 8.44am and 6.10pm respectively the same day.
She said: “We normally average about four-to-six babies a day and deliver 1,600 a year, so Monday was quite a good day for us.
“It’s a lovely place to work because you become familiar with the ladies and everyone knows each other.
“It’s a fantastic job and I absolutely love it here; what a wonderful event for these families to be a part of.”
The name of the royal baby, born at 8lbs 6oz, had not yet been confirmed.
