Colourful costumes and vibrant fishy flags filled Westward Ho! on Saturday for its first ever fish parade. Around 100 people took part in the event, which topped the villages week long Fish Festival. The festival was organised by Seize the Moment, with funding from FLAG. Sue McGirk, of Seize the Moment, said the event was absolutely amazing. She said: It was brilliant to see the volunteers that came out of the community and rallied around to help. The parade was lovely - a lot of the families involved came to our workshops during the week. They made carnival crafts, such as flags and twirling sticks, and the big fish were made by our Wednesday Social Club who also got involved in the parade.
