Petroc students proudly took to the streets of Barnstaple today (Saturday) for their graduation ceremony.

With gowns and mortar boards the graduates formed up at the Square and then made their way along the High Street, led by Ilfracombe town crier Roy Goodwin.

Shoppers were encouraged to clap and cheer on their achievements as the higher education students made their way to the Queens Theatre for the ceremony.

The graduation spectacle in partnership with the University of Plymouth has become an annual event in Barnstaple.

Graduating students have been studying everything from construction and engineering to early years and teaching qualifications.
