The college has come top of the NICDEX league table, published by FE Week. The NICDEX rates all 183 further education colleges across the country in four categories learner satisfaction, employer satisfaction, 16-to-18 positive progression and adults into employment to create a score out of 40. Based on this criteria, Petroc excelled and scored highly in all four of these categories, securing 93.8 per cent for employer satisfaction, 92 per cent for 16 to 18 positive progression, 56 per cent for adult progression into work and 81 per cent for learner satisfaction, giving an overall average point score of 36.
