A pair of cyclists from Ilfracombe have raised nearly £1,500 by completing the fabled journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Richard Davey, 42, and Paul Dyer, 39, who work together at TDK Lambda in Ilfracombe, completed the 916-mile trip across the UK in just nine days.

Their efforts have so far raised £1,391 for Cancer Research UK.

Richard, who works as a product quality development engineer, said: "We would like to thank all those who have donated towards such a great cause, helping us to raise well over our original target of £1,000, which really means a lot to us.

"It was a tough nine-day ride; we had our ups and downs but we had a lot of fun at the same time."
