SIR - I must agree with the letter in the Gazette last week about the poor standard of food in Bideford Hospital.
I was admitted from North Devon Hospital in Barnstaple after suffering a stroke.
The food at Barnstaple was very good, but as the letter stated, every meal at Bideford had to be microwaved and in my opinion was disgusting.
I tried everything on the menu and all of the food was absolutely awful. I made my feelings known on the back of the menu list.

If the hospital needs to cut costs, it shouldn't be at the expense of patients' food. This should be a priority.
Apparently, the staff who used to cook the meals have been made redundant. Bring them back quickly or the patients will never get better!
