The Overtones have cancelled some of their tour dates after their lead singer died of skin cancer earlier this month.

Lead singer Timmy Matley died aged 36, and the band has now postponed its tour dates in April.

They are due to play at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple in July, and currently they have not made any announcement about their summer dates.

Tickets still remain on sale for the July 3 performance.

In their official statement announcing Timmy's death, the group said: "It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that our dear friend and brother Timmy has passed away.

"We know this news will be as heartbreaking for you all as it is for us. We appreciate your love and support at this difficult time."
