ARTISTS, craftspeople and makers are invited to attend an open meeting on Thursday, January 31 at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon to hear plans for this year's Devon Open Studios. The popular event will take place in September and is an opportunity for the public to visit a myriad of studios and workshop across the county to see artists at work.It is organised by Devon Artist Network and the format is being changed this year. The purpose of the museum meeting is to give artists an opportunity to find out more.Instead of just one catalogue, this year will see a series of Art Trail maps produced, allowing artists to define their own trail areas.Formerly known as Nine Days of Art, last year it attracted almost 600 artists, exhibiting at 247 venues throughout Devon. Taking part is open to any artist in Devon. To find out more, email Devon Artist Network director Kate Wilson at: katewilsondevon@aol.com
