AN Ilfracombe organisation which offers useful activities and meaningful work for people with learning difficulties is holding an open day on Tuesday, September 8.

Community Resources (Devon) CIC is a not-for-profit company based at Hele Business Park which offers a variety of work related activities with a focus on nature and the environment.

Groups carry out a variety of services around the community, including gardening, weeding and litter picking, while the Community resources clients also enjoy visiting their own allotment where they grow flowers and vegetables.

They also collect and recycle large amounts of materials from cardboard to aluminium cans from businesses in Ilfracombe and the surrounding area, helping to reduce the amount of recyclables sent to landfill.
