A "one stop shop" of all that is technical in sheep farmingcomes together in a day out in Okehampton on June 9.Sheep South West 2009, which is taking place at North Alfordon Farm, also incorporates the Shepherd of the Future competition, for which entries are now invited.Sponsored by Mole Valley Farmers, the competition is aimed at young entrants to the sheep industry, including young farmers, a carries a prize fund of £1,000. The winner will also progress to the National Sheep Event at Malvern next summer.Panellists will discus current hot topics at the Mole Avon open question forum.Companies such as main sponsor Shearwell Data will be on hand to provide practical advice and solutions to subjects such as stock handling, performance recording and sheep identification.
