One acre grassland fire at Welcombe

Three fire crews were scrambled to the scene on Monday evening.

THREE fire engines were scrambled to Henaford Manor Farm in Welcombe after reports of grassland on fire yesterday (Mon).

The initial crew from Hartland discovered an acre of grassland on fire on arrival at 7.20pm and requested two further pumps from Bude.

By 8.42pm crews had extinguished the fire and were dampening down the land using two hose reel jets.
