EIGHTY old boys from the former Bideford Grammar School went back to school to reminisce, to see the emerging new Bideford College building and to enjoy a cream tea.School principal Veronica Matthews welcomed the Old Boys and gave an update on the new college build. She also welcomed the support of the Old Boys and assured that the new college would house the honours boards and grammar school foundation stone. A group photograph was taken in the old grammar school hall and outside the main Abbotsham Road building, which will disappear under the new development, followed by a tour of the new college site. The Bideford Grammar School Old Boys' 75th annual dinner was held at the Royal Hotel, Bideford, with 113 former pupils attending.Peter Fletcher MBE was elected president for 2009. Guest speaker was former pupil His Honour Norman Jones QC, who gave an insight into the British legal system.
