A national nursing company has expanded into Barnstaple, offering more than 100 permanent jobs to healthcare professionals.The new branch of Newcross Healthcare opened in Whiddon Valley today (Wednesday) the companys eighth branch in the South West following earlier launches, including in Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter.The privately-owned healthcare business, founded in 1996, employs nurses, healthcare assistants and support workers for a range of clients, including care homes and NHS hospitals. Newcross operations director Geoff White said: Providing over 100 permanent jobs is a real boost for both Newcross and Barnstaple.
