Bideford boxers set for TV debuts

Bideford professionals Billy Stanbury’s and Aaron Bird get their chance to perform on the big stage in Abergavenny with their next bouts on Saturday, July 1 set to be screened live on Fite TV. 

Billy Stanbury has now gone six fights undefeated in the Super welterweight Division and will go into the lion’s den when taking on Welshman Phillip Price in front of the cameras. Price is a national amateur champion himself and the contest is intended to be a step up for the Bideford boxer. 

Aaron Bird, who won his debut bout in April, now approaches his second fight in the Light Heavyweight Division against experienced Darryl Sharpe from Manchester, who has competed in over 100 professional contests. It should be another fantastic test for Bird and an opportunity to demonstrate his skills in front of a major audience. 

Both lads will get the real experience of a big show, with the press conference live on YouTube on Thursday, the weigh in live on YouTube on the Friday and then both on the undercard of a huge show with a title fight being top of the bill on Saturday.
