POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car lost control and hit a stone bank in Northam on Saturday evening.
The silver Renault Megane crashed on the A386 at Bloody Corner, Churchill Way, at around 7.45pm.
Officers in Bideford are keen to trace the driver and occupants, who fled the scene.
A 21-year old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until June 30.
