Northam Burrows is hosting a series of free events during the summer holidays, where families can explore the plants and wildlife.

Guided walks, rockpool rambles, dog shows and more will all be on the agenda during the holidays.

This year the rangers will also be teaming up with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to run a special Bumblebee Safari.

This will be a great chance to see these incredible insects in action and understand why they are so important to the burrows and the wider environment.

Phil Pennington, Torridge District Councillor for leisure, community and culture, said ‘Northam Burrows is a wonderful place to be all year round but especially when the sun is shinning like it is at the moment.

“These free events are a great opportunity for everyone to find out about the local environment and have fun outside in this glorious weather.”
