It looks like the glorious sunshine could be coming to an end as the school holidays begin, with a weather warning in place across North Devon on Sunday.

The Met Office is warning heavy rain and strong winds are on the way, which could result in some flooding.

A spokesman for the forecaster, who have placed the warning between 3am and 3pm on Sunday, warned of winds up to 50mph in coastal regions.

"In addition to the wind, heavy rain is expected," forecasters said.

"Rain will be most persistent over hills with rainfall totals of 30-40 mm likely to build up and south facing slopes in parts of the Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor could see as much as 60-80 mm of rain.

"The weather conditions on Sunday will come in stark contrast to what has been typical recently, this may increase the chance of impacts."

The Met Office has warned of spray and flooding on roads, possible delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes, and large waves.
