Help the Chemotherapy Appeal and your local hospital departments by hoisting a mug or two.
Join in the Hospital Charity’s Big Brew to support local hospital wards and departments.
The event on Friday, February 20 is a perfect way to start the weekend and to beat those winter days with a slice of cake and a cup of tea - or two.
But if this date doesn’t suit you, just choose a day that does.
To take part, ask your local hall or cafe if they are organising a Big Brew event, or if not why not organise one yourself for family and friends, or hold one for your local community to join in?
Simply sell coffee, tea and cake, and hold a raffle with those unopened boxes of chocolates.
Money raised will go to the hospital charity Over and Above and will help local people being treated at hospitals in North Devon with their treatment and care over and above what the NHS can provide.
Funds will help with anything from the Chemotherapy Appeal to assisting other departments, such as purchasing a special piece of equipment for the children’s Caroline Thorpe Ward.
“I love cake and taking part in a hospital charity fundraiser selling hot drinks and a slice of cake or two is a lovely way to meet friends and raise money for a great cause,” said fundraiser Julie Whitton.
“We will make sure your hard earned money is used to provide additional resources, over and above what the NHS can provide to help local people.”
