Despite flash flooding and rain yesterday, show organisers have confirmed the showground is fine.

THE North Devon Show will go ahead as planned tomorrow (Weds) despite concerns over the rainfall and flash flooding yesterday.

Show secretary Pat Sennett said the 100-acre showground at Umberleigh Barton Farm was fine after Monday’s downpour and ready for action as the show opens at 9am.

The 47th annual event will showcase the best in British farming with exhibitions and shows from across the region.

The Gazette will be live blogging from the show all day – click the link on the right of the page or on the home page for the latest from the big event.
