The latest live travel, weather and school closures in North Devon for Friday, March 2.

Devon County Council Highways is urging people not to use the roads this morning (Friday) after snow and frozen rain in North Devon last night.

Continued snow in parts overnight, and freezing rain, on top of sub-zero temperatures, make driving conditions potentially dangerous, the Council says.

Councillor Stuart Hughes, council cabinet member for Highways, said: “People may be tempted, waking up on Friday morning morning, to think it’s business as usual and try to go about driving to work as normal. But they shouldn’t.”
