Most of the main roads have been gritted but there are still many patches of ice. Stagecoach South West has also reported a number of service issues.: Service 9: Not serving Youings Drive Service 10: Not serving Lethaby Road Service 21: Now unable to serve Georgeham due to ice. Service 21 will now terminate at Croyde. Not serving Ilfracombe. Services 71/72 : Diverting via High Bullen between Huntshaw Cross & Dartington Fields due to ice. A spokesman for the Met Office said: There is the potential for a spell of snow, moving northwards over southern Britain on Thursday, to intensify and become heavy on Thursday afternoon/evening as it spreads north. As it does so, some places could also see significant ice build up overnight into Friday. This is likely to be accompanied by strengthening easterly winds. Long delays and cancellations to public transport could occur, whilst some roads may become blocked by deep snow, stranding vehicles and passengers.
