Staff and volunteers at the Westward Ho! home baked up a fantastic spread of cakes and treats during the afternoon.

And care home residents Gwen May and Lillian Rennie were in charge of selling raffle tickets.

Residents’ friends and family turned up to support the morning. In total the home raised £138.50.

Golden Sands’ entertainments organiser Joy Davis said: “We were really pleased with what we raised.

“It was awful weather so we didn’t have as many people as previous years.

“But everyone, the staff and residents, were really pleased with how it went and how much we raised.”

If you’re hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning, tell us all about it and we’ll feature it in our round-up.
