Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision in which a nine-year-old girl died. Keira Ball, from South Molton, died in Bristol Childrens Hospital two days after the collision on the A361 near West Buckland on July 30. Police were called at 11.30am to reports that a Vauxhall Vectra car travelling towards Barnstaple was involved in a collision with a green Ford Ranger 4x4 towing a cattle trailer in the Swimbridge area. The Vauxhall driver, Keiras mum Loanna, was airlifted to Bristol Southmead Hospital with serious injuries. Her seven-year-old son, Brad, and Keira were taken to Bristol Childrens Hospital, but Keira died on Tuesday, August 1, as a result of the collision.READ MORE: Tributes paid to nine-year-old little princess who died in North Devon Link Road collisionNow police are re-issuing an appeal to track down dashcam footage of the collision and time leading up to it. Sgt Jane Corkhill said: We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who was driving along the A361 in the Swimbridge area between 11.30am and midday on the July 30. We are also very keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area and also want to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle in the area that morning and the manner of driving. Police from across the force area attended the scene and a full forensic scene and vehicle examination was carried out.
