Police appeal for information after two-vehicle collision on the A361 North Devon Link Road leaves pensioner with life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage as they investigation a serious collision on the North Devon Link Road yesterday (Monday).

The collision occured at the North Molton junction of the A361 between a Vauxhall Zafira and a Scania HGV tipper lorry at 11.13am.

An 82-year-old man from North Devon was cut from the Vauxhall and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to North Devon District Hospital where he is being treated for chest and head injuries.

His condition has been described as 'stable' by police.

The road was closed for around five hours as the serious collisions investigation unit assessed the scene.
