Surfacing work will be carried out on various dates in the coming weeks, council warns

The North Devon Link Road is facing several closures in the coming weeks as surface dressing work is carried out.

The section of the A361 from Stoodleigh Cross to Aller Cross will be closed from 7pm to 6am from Monday until Thursday next week (June 6-9).

The next phase will see daytime closures from 6am to 6pm from Monday, June 13 to Wednesday, June 15, following by 24 hour traffic control on Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17.

Overnight closures will resume from 7pm to 6am from Monday, June 20 to Saturday, June 25, to complete the work.

Devon County Council said surface dressing work had to be carried out during the summer months as warmer temperatures were needed. The works will depend on the weather.

* The diversion for westbound traffic during the closures is from the A361 Bolham roundabout south towards Tiverton, via A3126 Bolham Road, Kennedy Way, B3137 Leat Street, Rackenford Road, Stoney Lane Hill, Bullworthy Knap, Claypark Hill, Old Bell Hill, Titham Hill, Waterloo Hill, Roadmarsh Hill through Ash Mill, Ash Mill Hill, Silcombe Hill to Bish Mill and A3227 into East Street South Molton, Station Road onto the A361.

* For eastbound traffic the diversion is from A361 Bolham roundabout north via A396 Bolham Road, Cove, Black Cat onto B3227 to Oakfordbridge, through Woodburn Cross, Wadham Cross, Combesland New Cross onto A361 east of South Molton.
